Still time to catch Fish Short Story Prize

Website: www.fishpublishing.com The Fish Short Story Prize, now in its tenth year, was set up to enable new and exciting writers to be published in book format. The contest has become an established event on the literary calendar and has proved to be an effective launch pad for the literary careers of a large number of participants. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, this year's first prize has been increased to €2,500. This prize is in addition to publication as the title story in the Fish Short Story Prize anthology 2004. Second prize is €250 and a week's residency at Anam Cara Writers' Retreat, West Cork. Up to 18 of the best stories submitted will be published in The Fish Short Story Prize Anthology 2004, which will receive full international distribution and which will be read by literary agents, including Shirley Stewart (London) and Merric Davidson (Kent). This years judges are: Roddy Doyle, Victoria Glendinning and Hugo Hamilton. Closing date: 30 November Fish Publishing |
