LNE recently received an email from a reader who is looking to join a reading group:

"I'm 30, a midwife, new to Durham but experienced in reading groups. I read English at Uni and have read ecclectically ever since. Most recent books read: The Corrections; Rebecca; The Crimson Petal and the White; Surfacing; The Language of Genes; Into the Silent Land (brilliant accessible neuropsychology/biography) and just finished Stanley Park by Timothy Taylor, which I very much enjoyed, despite unlikely ending, about a quest for roots and belonging both emotional and culinary in contemporary Vancouver. Will read anything recommended by others and love to talk about books."
