News - Online mentors wanted for Crossing Borders project
Date: Fri 17 Oct 2003

Crossing Borders is a joint project of The British Council and Lancaster University, that provides mentoring to African writers. The scheme is already running in five countries and will expand to take in three more in January 2004.

We are therefore looking for published writers (prose fiction, poetry and children's/young people's writing) to act as online mentors. You will be expected to deliver six critical responses to the participants' writing over a nine-month period, and to encourage their development and self-awareness within an established, successful framework. The participants are English-speaking and selected locally through the British Council regional offices.
