Dear writers,

We are delighted to announce that Colin Teevan has been appointed North East Literary Fellow at the Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham from October 2003. Colin succeeds Jackie Kay, who held the post from October 2001 to 2003.

We would like to invite you to welcome Colin and say farewell to Jackie at an informal evening event on Wednesday 5 November from 6.30pm in the Newcastle Playhouse foyer. Wine and nibbles will be served.

Jackie Kay will read a short story. Colin Teevan will be reading extracts from his plays. He will be performing with Mick Sands, with whom he collaborated on Tantalus and Iph... Mick will be singing songs from these and other shows.
