Sunderland University are now offering a new BA( hons) in English and Creative Writing which began in the academic year 2007/2008.

It offers the opportunity to study and produce poetry, novels, short stories, plays and screenplays. A wide selection of modules providing historical and theoretical context are offered alongside creative writing workshops taught by practising novelists, screenwriters, poets etc, everything from English
Literature 1700 - 1787 to Television Drama in fact. Tutors include novelist Carol Clewlow.
