The desire to tell a different story and be heard provides the inspiration to develop a unique group for African, Asian, Caribbean and Chinese writers living in the north east of England.

Identity on Tyne invites writers from minority ethnic backgrounds to become part of this new development which aims to provide the space and support to develop writing skills, to promote and showcase the work produced. It is hoped that this will provide an intriguing insight about life, values and beliefs on the Tyne today.
